How to Worship Bal Gopal / Laddu Gopal at Home?

Bal Gopal also known as Laddu Gopal is worshipped in many Hindu families as the child form of
Lord Krishna. He should be taken care of and served like a small kid. If you are aware of the
basic rules to be followed while keeping Bal Gopal in your home, then you should also know
how to worship him. Alongside getting him to sleep in the afternoon and night, giving a proper
bath, and serving food, you should worship him by following proper rules.

Holy Bath

Before starting the worship process, wake up your Laddu Gopal in the morning and give him a
holy bath. Put Tulsi leaves in the Holy water and pour them on the statue of Bal Gopal. Apply
Chandan on his body and wash with Ganga Jal (holy water). Use a soft towel or handkerchief to
dry him. Now, apply a Chandan tilak on his forehand and scented oil on his body.

Dress up Bal Gopal

After bathing Laddu Gopal, it’s time to dress him up with clean poshak or attires. After dressing,
adorn him with mukut (crown), flute (bansuri), bracelet, and necklace or mala.

Light the Lamp or Deepak

Once you dressed up Laddu Gopal, light a ghee lamp (Deepak or Jyot) in front of your Bal Gopal
along with incense sticks. Chant a mantra and perform aarti. Also, keep a statue of Radha Rani
and perform her aarti as well. Make sure you perform this ritual twice a day i.e. in the morning
and in the evening. It will spread positivity in the entire home.

Bhog

Serve your Bal Gopal Ji bhog or Prashad after the aarti. Offer your lord a bowl of milk, makhan
mishri, or dry fruits. Don’t forget to put Tulsi leaves in every food you are serving as it is
believed that prashad would be incomplete without Tulsi leaves. Alongside prashad, serve your
Laddu Gopal four times bhog. Ensure that what you are serving is prepared without garlic,
onion, and non-vegetarian items. It should be completely vegetarian and pure.
It is believed that by worshipping Laddu Gopal properly, you can get rid of various Vastu defects
and life troubles. So, follow all the rules mentioned above. Most importantly, while worshipping
Bal Gopal, keep your mind only on the worship. Don’t think anything else during that time as
Laddu Gopal expects only true belief.
