5 Rules & Responsibilities to Keep Laddu Gopal at Home

Bal Gopal Ji statue, the child version of Lord Krishna Ji, has a special charm that pulls everyone’s
attention. The mischievous bubble of innocence and attractive eyes make a person fall in love
with Laddu Gopal. Bringing them into your life by welcoming them as a baby brings immense
peace, a sense of calm, happiness, and good luck. If you are planning to keep Laddu Gopal in the
home temple or as a family member, there are certain responsibilities and rules that you need to
be ready to follow.

1. Daily Bath and Dressing

Every morning, Bal Gopal should be given a proper bath and dressed in a clean cloth. Do proper
makeup and adorn them with all essential ornaments such as bansuri, mukut, bracelet, necklace,
etc. After a bath, apply sandalwood paste to their forehead.

2. Four Times Bhog

Just like a baby, you need to serve Laddu Gopal four times a meal (Bhog) a day. You can serve
any vegetarian or sattvik food prepared without using onion, garlic, and non-vegetarian spices.
Whatever you’re serving should be completely vegetarian. However, Laddu Gopal mostly loves
to eat Makhan Mishri, Halwa, Laddu, and Kheer. You can also serve them some dry fruits. Don’t
forget to offer them water.

3. Aarti

Perform two times aarti i.e. in the morning and evening. Offer banana and Bela flowers as these
are loved by Bal Gopal Ji. Always keep the Radha Rani Statue along with Laddu Gopal and
perform her aarti as well.

4. Sleep and Wake Up

Give a proper and complete nap to Laddu Gopal in the afternoon and night. Make him lie down
on his bed with a pillow, blanket (in winter), mosquito net, and other essentials. While waking
him up, clap your hands slowly.

5. Don’t Leave Him Alone

Just like your little one, don’t leave Bal Gopal alone in the home. Take him along with you
whenever you go outside the house. However, if you are going outside for a long time, follow
the same routine. Don’t let them sit alone in the home without any food or other care.
As you are welcoming Laddu Gopal as your child, you have to give him the special care and
attention you give to your kid. Dress them uniquely on special occasions and keep their living
area well-cleaned and fully hygienic.
